Workflow
Performing an environmental footprint with Quantis SUITE 2.0 is structured into a clear series of steps. These steps can be attributed to a number of different users.
Flexible and clear system design
Modeling and updating a company, site or product system is straightforward, with a rapid learning curve. Systems can easily be duplicated and modified in order to compare scenarios or add a production site.
Models and wizards
Use standard or personalized templates in order to easily perform footprints in conformance with standards. Wizards assist the user in his/her choices and work flow. For example, calculating the impact of transportation in a Carbon Footprint.
Guided access to database content
Selection of a process in environmental databases can be difficult (large number of processes and technical terminology). The Quantis SUITE 2.0 databases have been indexed to facilitate this task.
Multi-indicator approach
Life Cycle Assessment is at the heart of SUITE, allowing for mono-indicator (carbon, water) or multi-criteria (carbon, human health, use of resources, etc.) footprints. Cost analysis is also possible.
Internationally recognised databases
Calculating a footprint with validated and recognized databases ensures quality and recognition. The default database for Quantis SUITE 2.0 is ecoinvent, complemented by input-output databases, the French ADEME Bilan Carbone®, DEFRA, etc.
Impact assesment methods: applying the references
Calculation of a number of relevant indicators is based on internationally recognized impact assessment methods such as IMPACT 2002+ as well as other reference methods.
Generation of results compatible with existing norms
Quantis SUITE 2.0 is composed of libraries of databases, models and results shemes that are compatible with existing norms and standards.
Reuse of data and results
Storing and updating environmental data and information creates benefits for companies as new needs arise. Uniform presentation and management of results allows fuller capitalization on LCA projects.
Easy adaptation to additional standards
Adding libraries provides the user with the ability to generate new results based on existing footprints in order to meet additional standards (e.g. performing a multi-indicator footprint following a Carbon Footprint or allowing environmental labeling in many different countries).
The first software with ISO compatible water footprinting*
Quantis, along with a consortium including the Ecoinvent Center and various industries, have developed the first ISO compatible regionalized water database. Quantis SUITE 2.0 is the first software to include this database.

Perform product footprints at reduced cost
The allocation module allows one to obtain, starting from a company’s global analysis, an allocation of impacts to its products. This functionality reduces costs associated with performing footprints of a large number of products.
Consistency among company, sites and product footprints
Integrated company-sites-products footprints provide a consistent vision at all levels and allows for the evaluation of changes in a company footprint resulting from modification of products (e.g. eco-design) or the opening of new sites or markets, etc.
Multi-user and collaborative
The capacity to perform footprints in collaboration with other users, sharing tasks and exchanging information and results, is a key aspect of Quantis SUITE 2.0. Role-based access rights ensures security of data.

Managers, environmental specialists, eco-designers, communications teams and purchasers need information corresponding to their role within a company (e.g. by site, product component, market, business unit, etc.). Easily perform footprints which can be viewed in several dimensions.
Involve suppliers*
As a web application, Quantis SUITE 2.0 can be used to collect data directly from suppliers or other external sources without providing access to internal information.

An open system: import from/export to IT systems
In order to make the most of available data and existing information systems (Microsoft Excel, LCA tools, ERP, etc.) Quantis SUITE 2.0 can import and export data and results. Quantis SUITE 2.0 can thus be used standalone or to complement existing applications.
Forms for data collection*
Information is sometimes more easily obtained (for practical reasons or internal policies) with the use of a web form or spreadsheet. Quantis SUITE 2.0 helps you generate these forms and integrate the collected data.

The price of the software varies based on libraries and functions included as well as the number of users. It is thus possible to expand the capabilities of the software in order to address your objectives and to offer you an attractive first price that fits your budget and needs.
A common platform
The common platform includes a calculation engine that incorporates a life cycle perspective, models and wizards, dynamic viewing of results, cost analysis, as well as the ability to compare results and to import from /export to Microsoft Excel.
Additional libraries
The libraries contain a workflow, models and wizards, databases, indicators, and several reporting formats. The ability to add further libraries increases reporting capacity based on different norms (eco-labeling, Carbon Footprint, EPD, etc.)
Additional functions
Several functions can be added to the platform: data collection (forms, IT connectors), validation, analysis, strategy, collaborative features, advanced user rights, security, etc.
Web access
Access through a traditional web page allows one to easily connect with a password. It is thus possible to work on and present results from any computer without the need for software installation.
Minimal installation and maintenance requirements
Quantis SUITE 2.0 is a client (Adobe Flash) – server (SUN J2EE) application. It can be either managed by Quantis or hosted on one of your servers.
